I was wondering if there is an update regarding this feature request.
We are trying to set up a report from the report builder in which it will show the Activity completion of all courses taken by Learners and limit it's content depending on position/ organization membership.
Currently, we can only set-up course completion but there's no available column for Activities.
Is there a possible workaround for this?

There's not been much progress on this so far, my understanding is we will not be developing this functionality in the near future.
I think the only real workaround would be to have one activity per course, and report on the course.

Although this feature has been flagged as important by a number of partners, there are other areas of the product that have received greater demand at this time. This was our internal view, and at the recent product advisory board this issue was not mentioned or raised as one to discuss by the PAB members. We aim to allocate our internal resources so that we maximise value offered by Totara, and unfortunately not all features make the cut.
That said, clearly there's significant interest in this area and while our short term priorities are now agreed (expect an announcement about that soon), the product advisory board will meet again July at which point priorities will be reassessed.

Any update on this feature request?
We are currently uploading over 100 SOPs on one course page as course activities.
The problem is course reports don't show completion of individual activities which we would like managers to be able to view.
The alternative as mentioned previously is to use programme reports but this will mean creating over 100 individual course pages (one for each SOP) which impacts negatively on the learner experience.
Ideally we would like include course activities as a report source.

The good news is that in Totara 18 there is a new report source Activity completion that provides information on an activity level.
This isn't connected to this feature request so missed updating this thread - this is a frequently requested feature.
This can show the logged in users team members records by using the Content tab and selecting

Hi there,
Seems this request has been out there for some time. Wes, per your suggestion, I am posting the request again to be able to view progress on all activities in a course in the Course Completion report, or some other report. It is not only useful to the student, the managers/teachers, but also to the business to identify which activities get the most action.

Agree this would be a great feature, in particular for us to be able to add this into the MyTeam reports for managers to track the individual activity completion for their learners

To get round this problem we have had to create course pages for each course activity and then create a programme to "wrap them all up" under one heading in order to get the reporting working as customers want.
We use the Programme Overview report which displays details of each course completed within the programme so we can then see each course activity displayed nicely under one title.
Not sure if this is best practice but it works for us.

TL-4837 is being closed because it's a duplicate. We've already done this work and released in t18. Please check TL-38227.
