I was just curious if anyone has gone through the process of migrating from Mahara to Totara Social and if so, is the migration a fairly simple process? Is there any documentation on this transition? I'm all ears to any information that you might have on the matter, thank you!

Hi John,
I am afraid that the two systems went separate ways before the initial release of Totara Social and we don't maintain an upgrade path from Mahara to Totara Social. There are some substantial database changes that would impact migration, especially if you want to migrate straight to the latest Totara Social release.
If it's any help, the initial code was forked from Mahara 1.10 release. There are still changes between Mahara 1.10 and Totara Social 1.0, but they are minor compared to the differences in the current branches of both projects.
