Warning: Serious bug affecting Totara versions 2.4.10 and 2.4.11

I'm afraid we have discovered a bug affecting 2.4.10 and 2.4.11 which can lead to data loss in certain situations.

We are currently testing a fix which we expect to release on Tuesday 15th October. In the mean time please view the link below to see if you are likely to be affected and what mitigating actions you should take:

This bug has now been fixed by today's release of 2.4.12. We urge you to upgrade any 2.4.10 or 2.4.11 sites as soon as possible.

For sites affected by this issue, after upgrading to 2.4.12 please also take the following steps:

1. Click Site Admin > Languages > Language Packs

2. Click the "Update all installed language packs" button.

That should download the updated language pack which includes the new strings required by the fix.
