We have discovered that Totara 2.5.13, which included changes made in Moodle 2.5.6, contains a bug in mod/scorm which may make it impossible for learners to complete a SCORM package.

If a SCORM is attempted and failed on the first attempt, subsequent attempts are not registered properly even if successful. Because of the bug the "Force new attempt" setting has no effect and the learner is effectively stuck and can never complete the SCORM activity

This only affects SCORM packages which can return a status of failed, where the completion criteria are set to require a status of passed or completed. Any SCORMS of this type should be checked to ensure the "Force new attempt" setting is set to Yes after the upgrade - learners who failed their first attempt should then be able to retake the SCORM and have successful completions registered properly.

You will only need to upgrade to this emergency release if you are already running 2.5.13, no earlier version or branch is affected by this particular bug.
