It's the one in the root directory of the site.  However if you don't have any data in the Moodle database just dump all the Totara code over the Moodle code to replace the files and don't worry about the config.php file as Totara will create one for you as part of the setup process.

Hi Daniel,

Sounds like you might be complicating things by doing an upgrade.  If everything is a fresh install then completely ignore the moodle code.  Put the Totara code on the server and create a new database.  Then visit the Totara site and it should take you through the install process.

Hi Daniel

The code for the default Bitnami installation needs to go in the webserver folder \apache2\htdocs

To create the database start the server and type localhost/phpmyadmin  in you browser this will take you to the phpadmin interface where you can create a database

mysql

Once this is done to install Totara type in localhost/name of the folder you copied the code to eg localhost/totaralms

When you copy the Totara code to the Moodle folder you need to move the code from Moodle to another folder so there is no Moodle code in the folder. Then copy the Totara files and  the config.php file from Moodle to the Moodle folder.

See https://help.totaralearning.com/display/TL29/Upgrading+from+Moodle for more details on this

Hi Daniel,

There can only be one file with a unique name, otherwise it will have the suffix 'copy' or (1). Sort by file name and check for sure if the names are identical.

Are you talking about config files in sub-directories?

The system config file will be appear when you click on the main folder,  move it out of the folder and remove everything else into a backup folder. Then copy the new code into the folder and re-add the config file. Id be careful to back up everything you do.

cheers,

George.
