I would like to use a register in a seminar activity as a completion of the activity. So when someone registers in a seminar event, this should be completing the activity.
Is this possible?

Its not possible to use just the sign-up as completion criteria of the activity. The user can mark the activity as complete, but that's not the same thing.
Can you supply any further info about what exactly you want to achieve - maybe we could come up with a workaround?
