Is it possible to set up a restrict access to an HTML block?

Hi Alessio,


Theres a viewblock role capability: View block moodle/block:view, this will restrict the viewing of all blocks for users with a particular role.

Probably a better solution would be to have the block on a dashboard and restrict access to that.

Hi Alessio,


Clarification - the viewblock capability can be applied to roles in the block, so its possible to hide the block by role via the Permissions setting.

Thank you for your reply. I would like to show the HTML block only to a specific group of users who have complete some activities within a course.

The role setting is too strict in that case, isn't it?

Hi Alessio,

You could use Restricted access in the course to enable a Label to be seen by users who have complete specified activities.
