Hi Victor,

You could use a course custom field to allocate a trainer to a course, then run a course completion report with the custom field as a column and filter. Filter the report based on the trainer and save the search with the name of the trainer. Trainers can then access this report and view the saved search to see their active students.

If you are on TL10+ you could use a Featured Links block on a Dashboard to link to the saved search, restricting visibility of the tiles based on the trainer.
