Hey, Charity

I did a quick test to check and the reset link shows up on course pages too. If you could let your partner know the variable option you set for the tour, they can submit a bug report and we can have a quick check to see if there's an issue there.

Hi, 

just wondering whether anything might have changed over the last couple of years in terms of the replay functionality for user tours? Is there maybe a block or something that needs to be added to the footer region to enable that link to replay a user tour? I can't see any link in the footer region to do that...

Hi Tine

The replay tour link only shows if the user has clicked the End tour button .  If this is the case can you confirm that this shows using the standard basis theme - if it does then there may be a theme customisation that is affecting the display.

We are currently on Totara 11. Do we have the option for user tours? If so were are these located?

User Tours are included in V11 under Site administration > Development > Experimental > User tours

See the User tour documents for more information

Hey Charity - Did the user tour "play" automatically on the course page? If not, then there might be something wrong with what you're targeting/settings:

  • Check that the UT is enabled
  • Check that the course is correct '/course/view.php?id=x' where x is the course id
  • Check that there's valid tour steps
  • Check that the correct roles are targeted
  • If using a different theme, use "?theme=basis" or "&theme=basis" at the end of the URL to see if it's a theme issue
