Hi Charity,

It isn't possible to set up seminars to auto-enrol users in the way you've described however there is an enrolment plugin which allows similar behaviour.

If you haven't already done so then I'd recommend using the Seminar direct enrolment plugin (Site Administration > Plugins > Enrolments > Manage enrol plugins). This enrolment method allows users to become enrolled in a course by signing up to a seminar event. The seminar direct enrolment sign-up options are displayed at the point the user attempts to access a course they are not enrolled in. Without signing up to a seminar the user won't be able to access the rest of the course.

Do you think this would be a useful solution?

Thanks

Tom

@charity katz: Has there been any solution since you posted this 6 years ago? We are looking for the exact same use case and process that "auto sign in to session" function for onboarding management. Thanks: Stefan

Boosting, as this is something we would really benefit from.
