Hi, 

I want to understand better on how permission works, e.g. if I mark "prohibit" on a capability into "authenticated user" role, but have "allow" set into another role of the same user, which one takes priority?

Hi Mei, 

To get started with thinking more about how permissions work in the system have a look at the course on Site level user management. 

The course includes this demonstration video which you might find useful. 

There are many more courses that can give you an overview of different parts of the system located here.
