User confirmation email (attachments?)

Hi,

Once a user has signed up to a Seminar and the notification email has been sent, is there a way to have attachments to that email they receive?

I tried adding the file into the Seminar notification with the text editor and this didn't work.

It is possible to upload the file to Totara or external site and then use the Link icon in the text editor and the link will be included in the email which when clicked on will go to the file.

There is a feature request for attachments in which is part of the Centralised messaging system requirements

Hi, Yes currently I think the best option is to link to the files needed in the email templates, would be great to see attachments available in the future.

Hi Cecil,

You can use the "File" custom field type for a Seminar event and include the custom field in your notifications. This means you can upload a file against each event and the users will get a link to a direct download of that file, without you needing to add the absolute URL to each e-mail template.

Attachments to the e-mail would be ideal but this has worked well as an alternative.
