Thanks for reaching out! These sessions focus on the improvements in Totara Learn 12  - for a deep dive into Competencies, I recommend taking the Competencies course which includes videos and activities for getting a feel for competencies.

Ok. Great. Thank you for the information. Our Department indicated 12 was the first version with this capability, so that's why we thought it might be covered. We will still attend the webinar to learn about the new features of Totara 12, and we will also take the competency course.

Got it! The big change in Totara Learn 12 is that Competencies are now a part of the HR Import elements that can be imported. So if you have an external system that manages competency lists or if you just want to be able to import them via a spreadsheet rather than have to type them into Totara, can you do that! The What's New documentation talks about that here.
