Notifications - where to find the template for the messages?
par Stjepan Werft, Friday 11 January 2019, 01:32

Hi all.

I'm trying to find a plugin or a setting where I can modify all the notification templates in Totara 11.

For instance, when learners submit their applications for a course enrolment and after the application was approved/canceled/put on the waiting list.

Thanks if you can give me a few hints!

Hi Sttjepan

It is possible to change seminar notification templates sitewide under Site Admin > Seminars > Notification templates

There is also an option to update all existing activities that are using the notifiaction template.

If you are wanting to customise messages in other areas then you can locate and modify the language string in the Language pack

Thanks Craig.

Along the same lines, how do I edit the template the message body is in?

Right now, the email has a line before and a line after the body.

I want to change the lines to the company logo.

Hi Alfred

There isn't one template for all messages - some activities such as seminars do have message templates that include a text editor. For these activities select the image icon and select an image that has been uploaded.

For other areas the language string for messages isn't really allowed html code for images. This would be filtered out to protect against malicious code being added.

Craig

Craig

I am not referring to the template for the content of email messages.

Referring to the attached screenshot, I am referring to the "styling" that contains the email content.

I have downloaded the source of the email and it appears that the table styling is in a html table.
