Email notification when enrolled onto a course

Hi All,

I'm quite new to Totara so can someone help please.

I am having trouble with people completing course as they do not get email notification when they are manually enrolled. Is there any way this can happen?

Group Totara

Hi Nathan

One way to make a notification is to make the course part of a program and add a program message (course set completed or program completed) This gives the option of including variables and sending to the learners manager.

The learner needs to be enrolled in the program - enrolment in the program can be managed through Audiences

Hi Nathan

You can add a re-engagement that is an email - you just hide the re-engagement in an orphaned section.

The settings I use for this is:

Email user: after delay

email recipients(s): user

email delay: 30 minutes

reminder count: 1

Email subject (user): You have been enrolled on %coursefullname%

then just add a wee message about enrollment in the content.

Suppress email if target activity complete: select this

target activity: click here to launch the "course"

Reengagement duration: 5 minutes
