This might be a silly question, but does anyone use a mix of letters and numbers in the userid field? Not sure if it's an urban myth, but we'd heard that you can only have numerics in this field?

There are two userid numbers - one is an autogenerated integer that is not editable .
The other is the ID number which is used for uniquely identifying records for HR Import purposes that you can input any alphanumeric number and extended characters in.
The myth is semi busted
