If i want to allow Group 1 learners to view the course catelogue and see only Course Categories A, B & E
Group 2 learners to see Course Categories A, C, D & E
Would i use an Audience or a Role
I clicked the Cog and selected Audience from the menu however it will not display any of my audiences. The Audience Tab is called Category and unsure how to populate this tab or if its even useful for what i wish to do.

It is possible to use audience based visibility so members of selected audiences can see courses , programs or Certifications,
It isn't possible to apply audience visibility at a category level so this will require applying to each course in the category.
The menu you are in is to apply an Audience to a category - I am not sure when you would need to do this.

I'll continue applying visibiility at course level was hopeful there was a higher level to which i could apply. I have different communities in one LMS so I have to remember to apply the visibility of each of the different communities to a new course.
