Hello everyone,

The following emergency releases are now available:

  • Evergreen 20190826
  • Totara Learn 12.9.1
  • Totara Learn 11.18.1
These releases contain just a single fix to a data-loss regression discovered earlier today that affects any site that has upgraded to evergreen-20190822, 12.9, or 11.18.
Do not upgrade to one of those releases, ensure you upgrade to one of today's releases instead.
If you have already upgraded please get in touch with us via the help desk immediately as your site may have suffered data-loss.

For more information on the emergency release and the issue being fixed please refer to the posting in the emergency release notification forum on community.

The changelog for the issue that was fixed is as follows:

Important:

TL-22087 Fixed a logic bug in the upgrade step cleaning-up orphaned prog_completion records

The fix for TL-8836 that was recently released as part of Totara 11.18,
12.9 and Evergreen 20190822 contained a data-loss regression. The fix was
designed to remove orphaned program completion records, which previously
occurred when a program course set was deleted. Due to this logic bug the
upgrade step deleted all program completion records with a coursesetid of
0, these records are used to mark the users completion state within a
                   program.

This issue sees that logic bug fixed, and the removal of orphaned
                   completion records completed correctly.

It does not fix data lost for those who have already upgraded to Totara
                   11.18, 12.9 or Evergreen 20190822.
If you have upgraded to one of these versions please get in touch with our
help desk as soon as possible.

Kind regards
Sam Hemelryk
