Good morning,
Our client has a slight issue of staff members being lost in the sign-up process of seminar's.
- User A sign's up to seminar and requires the manager approval. Booking space for the seminar is at 5/10.
- Other users also sign up to the same seminar and their managers approves bookings before User A's manager approve their booking. Booking space for the seminar is at 10/10.
- User A's manager is unable to approve OR decline request as booking space is full.
We have a report that is displayed on the manager's dashboard that shows bookings they have to approve, and if they cannot approve or decline it they cannot 'action' it and remove it from their dashboard.
We also cannot enable the waitlists as it allows the users to book onto the waitlist for that particular activity which is undesirable, it would be preferred that they book onto another session or the purpose-built waitlisted event.
Their also seems to be a lack of reporting ability to search for those in this hole, because without logging in and checking through bookings or the activity itself the user does not really know that they have not been booked onto this course. The LMS administrator is also unable to report on these and search for users who believe they are booked onto training when really they are not.
Their is also no messaging option for users that are awaiting approval, only cancelled and approved attendees.
I believe the best solution would be for manager to be able to decline bookings ONLY when booking space is full, sending a notification to the user that they need to re-book onto another training. Although any other advise would be greatly appreciated.
