Hello Everyone,

Yesterday’s September releases did not include releases for versions 2.7 or 2.9, because there were no issues affecting these versions. However, we’ve since realised that omitting these altogether (but including releases for versions 2.2 to 2.6) will break linear upgrades for anyone wanting to upgrade to the latest 2.7 or 2.9 from the latest version of an earlier release. To avoid this, we are releasing these “empty” 2.7.53 and 2.9.46 releases: there are no new bug fixes or improvements in these releases, but they will allow upgrades from all earlier versions.

Note: If you are not upgrading to 2.7 or 2.9 this month, then this won’t affect you either way.
