Are you using the course completion report - there should be a completion status filter available that lets you select the four course status.
I checked in v 10 and this was included here - there is also a date enrolled field for the filter that has the option is between start of today and X days before today (date of report generation) that should be able to get the data from a specific date from when the report is generated.
