Job assignment bulk upload

Job assignment bulk upload

Hi guys,

I have a volume of existing users that currently do not have job assignment on their profile.

I would like to add them to the hierarchy.

Does anyone have a csv template of adding job assignment to existing user accounts using HR import?

Or can someone let me know what column is necessary in the csv? as I do not wish to update any details apart from adding job assignment to them.

Thanks!

Jen

Hi Jen

The fields used for the importing of job assignments are detailed in the help docs

The instructions vary depending on what version of Totara you have - a separate CSV file for job assignments was introduced in v10

Any field that you don't need to update such as enddate, startdate appraiseridnumber can be left out of the job assignment file

Hi Craig,

I am currently using version 9.

My csv have following columns:

idnumber; timemodified; username; deleted; email; jobassigmentidnumber; orgidnumber

timemodified is 0

deleted is 0

jobassigment is empty as I don't know if the users already have job assigned so I just want it the create following what they have already

However, when I upload it it says user already exists skipped.

I thought HR import can update user's details? instead of skipping them?

Thanks!

Jen

Hi Jen

The records will only be updated if the user has the HR Import box ticked and there is a matching value in the ID number field of the user (in the Optional area of the user profile).

Can you that that your users have the HR import enabled (you can enable these through bulk user actionsif they aren't)
