Make Enrolment Inactive after X Days?

Hi

So my stakeholders have a course which they want learners to enrol in BUT after 90 days, if they have not completed the course, they want the access to the course to be stopped until it is unlocked (whatever that means)

I gave my own thoughts about the wisdom of such a strategy - but nonetheless how would you consider implementing this within Totara12?  Is there a cunning way I can block access to a course after X days and then later re-enabling access without the learner losing all their activity history for that course?

Any ideas?

Just the standard Totara 12 Self Enrolment for this one.

Hi Kevin

Each enrolment method has different settings - the self enrolment method has an enrolment duration setting that can be set to 90 days.

The other setting that is important is the Enrolment expiration action - this decides what to do when the a user is unerolled . If you select 'Disable course enrolment and remove roles' than the user will not be able to access the course but their course progress will be retained.

Thanks that's really useful

Can these rules be set at course level or is it system wide?

Once un-enrolled; if the learner is enrolled again can they start from whatever point they were at (40% or whatever) they were through the course?

Hi Kevin

Each course has a configurable enrolment method so the enrolment duration for the enrolment method can be changed on a course level.

When the user is enrolled again their activity progress will  be retained.
