RSS feeds can be used to process rules on IFTTT which can then push to other services such as Twitter. I didn't look at Slack when I was doing this in Moodle a couple of years ago - I think you may need a SlackBot to do it? - but it certainly worked for Twitter, FB, WordPress and even direct push notifications to phones.
