Expired certification - messages when the user is re-activated

Hi, I need advice on how to deal with situations where the employee's certificate expires during a period when, for example, he/she is on maternity leave, when the user is actually suspended. Certification is assigned only to active users. After returning from maternity leave, the user becomes active. Then this certifications is assigned again and he/she receive program overdue historically as well . We have quite a lot of certification and a lot of program overdue messages, and it happens that such an employee as well as his manager can receives up to 100 messages. It is frustrating to notify an employee in this way and alert him to a large number of nonsensical notifications.

How do you handle these situations?

Thank you for any advice.

Martin

Hi Martin

One way around this could be to enable program extensions and give the people on extended leave an extension to the time so they wouldn't receive program expiry notifications .

When a user is reassigned the user will be returned to their previous status by restoring their latest unassigned certification history record.
