Isolated organisations in multitenancy

Hi,

i'm looking for a possibility to use organisations in multitenancy. The problem is that every tenant can see all organisations and hierachies. Is there a possibility to enable multitenancy for these features or is there a possibility to assign a tenant to an organisation?

Best regards

Manuel

Hi Manuell,

Unfortunately, we haven't got time to make every pre-existing feature multitenancy aware for Totara 13, it's a long list! Note that you can still combine multitenancy and organisations assuming you have a compelling reason to do so. The actual limitation is that you cannot delegate job assignment management to tenant members yet.

Can you provide some more details about your use case?

What is the main reason for combining organisations with multitenancy?

Kind regards,

Andre.

Hi Andre,

thank you for your reply. In our use case we are a service provider and we manage elearning (courses and course management) for different customers especially smaller companies. And it would be great if there would be a possibility for organisations inside every tenant/customer. Thats a good use case for clean multitenancy because data has to be separated carefully. Another use case is if a company has a few sub companies which are isolated. In that case the tenants should not see the organisations of other sub companies. I hope that helps you to understand the question better.

There is no public roadmap with more details about future releases or?

Best regards

Manuel
