Hi there, I am wanting to add an activity to a course that has already gone live.  At this point in time there have been 100 completions with a badge issued.  If I was to add a mandatory task to this course would the completed users be alerted that there is something else to complete and what would happen to the badges already earned?  Many thanks

The badges would still be issued as the criteria at the time of issue were completed. 

it is possible to have an expiry date on a badge.

I think it is best to avoid having one course with different completion conditions as this will lead to inconsistent completion records. If you create a program and add the new course as being required to be completed after the first course this will result in consistent completion records and also program messages on completion of a course set can be added. There is also an ability to award badges for program completion.
