In Totara 13 it is possible to add a room link - this is able to be added to seminar notification with placeholder [session:room:link]
When a Room link is provided then a Join now button will allow attendees to join the virtual room up to 15 minutes before the start of a session.
The Join now button will be displayed on the Event details tab, the All events view, the course page, and the Learner-facing Event page.

Many thanks for this and it's good to know it is possible in Totara 13. By adding the link would this get sent when the confirmation email is sent? and does the learner then have to log on or can they simply click onto the Room/zoom link - then click the join button..
The client doesn't want the users to receive a confirmation email and then have to logon to get the zoom details. They want as few links as possible.
Is any of this available in version 12? as that is what they are on at the moment.

Yes the link would get added to the confirmation email if the placeholder is used in confirmation notification template.
The user would go to the virtual room without logging into Totara as the room is external to Totara
Unfortunately this is not available in Totara 12 directly but it is possible to add a custom URL field to a seminar room and this can be added to the seminar notification with a custom field placeholder

I put that type of information into the Details field of the seminar.
Then I use the placeholder [details] in the notification.
They'll get it in the confirmation notification and they can click on it there to join the Zoom meeting.
