Setting up paid courses on Totara

Hi,

We are looking to setup paid courses for general public using Totara.

On this site anyone can self-enroll without any approval and can buy courses from the library as per their wish. For this requirement I have few questions:

1. The check of user able to access course only after successful payment is out-of-box or need to implement?

2. Is there a plugin to setup payment gateway or need to implement for accepting the payment?

Kindly suggest any other consideration to take into account for setting up a site of paid courses.

Totara does have a Paypal enrolment plugin included

This requires setting up with Paypal

Create a Paypal account
Set the encoding of the account to UTF-8
Turn on instant payment notification and set the notification url to your site/enrol/paypal/ipn.php

There are also other third party plugins available but I don't have any experience of using these.

It looks like you are a partner so should have access to Partners > Partners area > Extension and plugins database in the community site.

There are others but these need to be checked to see if they are fully compatible with Totara and are being maintained.
