I recently created a pre-course and post-course survey to a set of around 75 users. Within the surveys I did not ask for any information that would identify the users (name, email, etc.)
On the off chance is there a way through the Totara backend to identify the users by a unique identifier so I can tie them to their pre and post survey responses?

Was this is in a Feedback activity, and if it was what did you set the 'Record user names' setting to?

Yes this was setup as a Feedback activity and I set the "Record user names" to Anonymous. Based on this confirmation of settings I'm guessing that I will not be able to match up users across the 2 surveys.

No problem, I understand. The client for whom we set these surveys up for originally asked for them to be anonymous. After the pilot ended, 2 weeks ago they have now asked to see if we can pre and post surveys without identifying the user (ie, some kind of number/unique identifier)
We will make sure to capture the end user data for our next go around.
