Make courses not available to students grey?

In Moodle, when I was logged in as an Admin, on the Find Learning page, the courses that were not available to students were grey. We've switched to Totara and now I am finding it difficult to know which courses are live and which ones are hidden on the Find Learning page. I can see it fine in the Course and category management page, but I'd love to be able to see it in the catalogue.
Any recommendations? : )

Hi Melissa

Are you using the Grid course catalogue in Totara 12 (check under Advanced features).

The content displayed in the catalogue is configurable to display selected course content - you could display the additional text field 'Course start date'under the Details area

It is also possible into enable audience based visibility  to restrict the visibility of a course or program to members of an audience.

Hi Craig! Thanks for your message.

Yes, we are using the grid catalogue. Unfortunately, we don't use dates as all our of our courses are available and we're not an academic institute. We more or less just work on them and post them when they're complete and ready for our staff. Moodle made hidden courses grey by default in Admin view, so I was hoping Totara would too. :(  Ah well! Not the end of the world :)
