specified date for certifications
RodwellCoby 发表于 2021年01月17日 Sunday 16:49

I would like to set up certificates in my workplace however we have a specific date for our re-certifications.  We need to assign the yearly training to all users at the same time each year, with some allowance for staff who have recently joined and completed this training as part of their induction.

The options for certification completion date, certification expiry date and fixed expiry date don't allow me to enter a day and month to release the re-certification, rather only give options for periods.

Has anyone used a day/month with certifications rather than periods?  How do you go about it?

Hi Coby,

You can use an annual Fixed Expiry Date for this (which will have to be manually reset every year).

Set all user assignments to have the due date of the date when it should repeat. The requirement for "allowance for new users" can be handled by the "minimum active period" functionality.

Please let us know if you have any more queries or if anything isn't clear.

cheers,

George.

Hi Coby

If I am understanding correctly then it is possible to set a fixed completion date for an audience or individual users in a certification under the Assignment tab of the certification. This should mean that the expiry dates for these users will be the same as they have a fixed expiry date of a year. There are some exceptions  as described in the inline help

  • If another assignment type includes the same user, the other assignment due date may override this one.
  • If this assignment has a relative due date, which is not yet applicable to the user.
  • A user may have been granted an extension by a manager.
  • If an exception occurred and the Set realistic time allowance action was used to resolve it.
  • This assignment due date may have changed, but the user still has the due date that was originally given to them.
  • This is a certification, and the due date has automatically been set to the expiration date.
