Thank you to everyone who joined our demo of the Totara Talent Experience Platform (v13) last week.  For those of you who missed it, you can find the recording here.

There were a couple of questions we couldn't get to during the session, so I've provided responses to these below.  If you have any further questions after watching the video, please do post them there.

Q: Are there plans for a merge functionality within v13? When you have 10K+ staff, mistakes happen and we need the functionality to be able to fix it. Thank you.

A: At this stage no.  We've looked into this functionality and feel there's no suitable technical solution at this stage.  At this stage it's best managed at a code and per user level by partners by a direct database edit.

Q: Does Totara allow for punching out to another LMS via hyperlinks?

A: You can link to any other external site as required.  When linking to another LMS I'd consider authentication/permissions between LMSs and of course why you'd want to use any LMS other than Totara ;)

Q: Presumably if you are using the app, and want to share images/videos in Engage as a resource, the app would just access the photos library (iOS)

A: The mobile app currently supports the learner journey for Totara Learn, so you can't create Engage resources through the app just yet.

Q: In the [MS Teams] chat area , can the learner send to the LMS his comments or questions?

A: The bot framework is currently used to login/logout of notifications but has been designed to be extended by Partners to provide other functionality such as a the chat/help bot you describe.

Q: Can we hide the restrictions on activities from the learner view?

A: You sure can! There's a little eye icon next to each access restriction (when editing the activity) which is a toggle to show/hide the restrictions.

Q: Can Totara pass data back to existing corporate systems?

A: The beauty of an open technology and open standards-based LMS like Totara is that you can integrate with nearly any other system.  There are a range of ways you can implement this data transfer from using an existing API like webservices or a bespoke solution.
