I was hoping someone was going to say you can recover a deleted category of questions but I can't see any options to do this unless you have exported or backed up the questions.

The Aiken format doesn't include an option to add a question number so the order is the order in the file 

Non-ASCII characters in Aiken format can cause import error - to minimise this save the text file as UTF-8 format
