I am wondering if anyone has any alternatives to adding a link to the URL for an externally provided course on a website?

Hi Sarah

What sort of external course is it -is it a Moodle, Linkedin, SCORM or Totara course ?

Do you need to login to the external course - are you wanting to pass the grade back to Totara?

regards

Hi Sarah

Adding a label with a hyperlink link and maybe some embedded  content, activity completion conditions, access restriction  provides a bit more flexibility.

Can you describe in more the problem you are trying to solve by not including a link to the external course?

Regards

The external tool looks useful however it requires LTI and I note none of the external training we link to have this. Looking for a way to integrate the learning with the LMS so it recognises completion.

Hey Sarah

Something like LTI or external SCORM is going to allow to recognise completion.

If that is a separate training that doesn't have an integration, then I don't think it's possible.

I think we've had to set up external link with manual completion for learners in the past (but that was not a high-stakes training, so learners manually marking they completed was viable)
