Linkedin Learning courses completed outside of Totara

We're running Totara 15, and we have an integration with Linkedin Learning. I'm trying to find out what happens if a user completed a Linkedin Learning course without visiting Totara.

Supposing we didn't have the course in Totara and the user found and completed it in Linkedin Learning, then, a few months later, we added that course to the Totara catalogue, would the user's completion be visible in Totara?

An LMS integration cheatsheet I found says that "Your LMS can serve as a single source of truth for LMS-initiated and non-LMS initiated learner activity tracking and reporting. xAPI reporting includes completion status with more data points expected in the future. LinkedIn will send completion events to the LMS regardless of where the content is launched (from LinkedIn, LinkedIn Learning’s mobile app, etc.)"

I also found that completing a course or module in Linkedin Learning does add a record to the user's log in Totara. I'm seeing, for instance "The user with id 'xxxx' progressed in the LinkedIn Learning course with URN '' to a value of %.", "An xAPI statement relating to the user with id 'xxx' has been created".

Does it mean that all the learner activity from Linkedin is being reported to Totara? Is this been being stored anywhere so that Totara functions as a LRS in a way?

There is some information on the progress tracking that is possible in the Linkedin Integration

XAPI reporting can be integrated in Totara - If you want LinkedIn Learning to send updates about partial completion of courses (to be reflected as activity and course progress) then contact your organisation's LinkedIn Learning representative and request that xAPI progress events be enabled for your account.
