Self-Service Certificate Submissions

Has anyone had any luck with creating a self-service section where learners can upload certificates that link to and mark complete courses?

We have tried the evidence bank, but it does not link to the courses. It can only be linked through learning plans, but learning plans are quite manual...

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi

Under course completion settings there is an option to enable  manual self completion .

If you add the self completion block to the course then a user can mark themselves complete.

This can be added with other course completion conditions and made to be required or one of the option course completion conditions.

Thanks for your response, Craig :)

I tested this option out, but I am looking for something where a staff member can upload a certificate, input the specific date, and then send it through so the system marks them off. The current self completion block seems to rely on an honour system for the staff member.

Otherwise if we have a staff member who completed it a week before in person at an external org, they mark it off as week later.

Thank you for your response and suggestion regardless!

Hi

If the self completion was not the only course completion condition and the course requires all course completion conditions to be completed then another activity could be added for uploading the file and both need completing..

Adding an Assignment activity allows the user to upload a file and the activity completion could be passed on receiving a grade or the learner has submitted something

Alternatively a learning plan can be used to link evidence to a course

I just asked this exact same question. Potentially an assignment could work and then be graded however is there a way to do it outside of learning plans to mark the course complete?
