I wanted to know how can I transfer all the courses in bulk along with all the custom fields and data from my Totara v13 instance to my new Totara v18 instance.

Hi Dhaitya
I assume this is on another server so you can't run an upgrade command.
There is an automated course backup you can use to backup all courses required with or without user data. The location of the backup file can be selected.
The course backups can be restored into the new site instance that is the Totara 13 so compatible with the backup course. Confirm the courses came over correctly.
Upgrade to 18 through the Totara upgrade process

Okay I have 2 more queries..
Would it be possible to restore a Totara 13 backup directly onto a Totara 18 instance ? If yes/no what would be the issues that we might encounter ?
About the automated courses, if i'm not mistaken, somewhere I came across the lines that courses inactive or without changes made within a month will not be included in the automated backup. Is this still applicable ? How can I make sure every course no matter what it's status is correctly backed up on the file.
