Good Day Everyone,

We have several courses that are set up with multiple activities to complete. For each activity, we've added individual user override due dates.

We are trying to find out a way to pull this data to run a report showing the User, their due date, and whether they've completed the activity or not. The data is in the system, so we feel we should be able to pull it, but we don't see any report source in embedded reports to do this. Do you know how we could pull a report on that course level data? Thanks!

Hi Natalie

In Totara 18 a new report source Activity completion was added with fields on completion and due dates - I am not sure what you mean by we've added individual user override due dates. - is this a custom course field - if so these this will be available in the report.

Hi Craig,

Sorry for my late reply. I didn't see your reply until now.

We are in V16. Is this activity completion report source available in 16 because I'm not seeing it? The overrides I was speaking of are entered via this path:

  • Click on the particular curriculum activity inside the course

  • User Overrides under Administration

  • Select an enrolled user

  • Set the due date & save

Also, I see the Assignment Submissions report source shows most of the info we need on this. Unfortunately, it doesn't include that due date that we set in the User Override.

Hi Natalie

The activity completion report is only available in Totara 18 - there is a possibility this could be backported.

The due date isn't in the Assignment submission report - both these would require a Totara idea to be created

Natalie has submitted the idea.

Are you saying this is something that has to be addressed by your dev team for consideration? Or is this something you might be able to work with a partner to "backport" the v18 report for Natalie's company?

Hi David

The backporting of the activity completion report would be done by Totara to make it part of core - I will create a ticket requesting this. A Partner could do this also but it wouldn't be part of core but could help in the short term

The other idea will go through the prioritisation process with the product team
