Updating courses shortnames in bulk.

Hey, what would be the best approach if we want to update courses Shortnames in bulk? I was thinking about the "Upload Courses" tool and choosing the 'Only update existing courses' option. Can you confirm this is something feasible? Thank you, J

Hi Jakub

It is possible to change the course shortname using the course upload and update option and by using the rename column with a value of 1 . The course would need to be identified through the course fullname or idnumber

Thank you for your support Craig. I am having troubles with the .csv file creation though. Let us say I have a course with Shortname: 'Course A' and I want to rename it to 'Course B'. I assume this are the columns to include but I am not sure if the 'shortname' value should be a new one or rather the original one (but where to include the new one then?).

shortname,fullname,category,rename
