I am reaching out to see if it is possible to restrict someone with administrative privileges from marking themselves as complete in courses and programs? We would like to make it to where an admin cannot mark themselves complete in courses and programs. They would need a different admin to mark their courses as complete. Is there a way to restrict this in the capabilities or permissions anywhere? We are using v18.3.

Hi Reburn

There isn't a permission for marking completion for yourself only.

If you prevent the 'Mark users as complete in course completion' at the course level for the admin user in the courses they are enrolled in they won't be able to mark any users complete in the course .

Go to Course admin > Users > Permissions and delete the role for this permission in the course
