Retire/Deleting a SCORM Activity from a course

Hi, I'm looking for advice on the best approach for deleting a SCORM Activity.

I have a course which has 6 SCORM activities and a Knowledge Check which all need to be marked as complete in order for the user to gain their certificate.

One of these SCORM activities is now obsolete so I want to remove it completely.

If I delete it, will it affect previous completions - I'm assuming not, but want to be sure.

What happens to users who may have already started the course? If I change the Activity Completion settings (in Course Completions) so this activity is not ticked, will this be enough for users to successfully complete the course with just the 5 SCORM activities and Knowledge Check?

I've tried looking for guides on the Totara site, but haven't been able to find anything on this. Any advice is much appreciated!

Hi!

I would first change the course completion settings, so this scorm is no longer needed to finish this course. You may choose whether you want to keep or remove the current completions. I think either would work, but the save option is to keep the current completions. Don't forget to safe the new settings.

After that you can remove the scorm without a problem.

Good luck!

Cheers,

Irma
