How to link Course certification expiry to competency

Hi,

My organisation uses Competencies as a way of issuing staff specific task approvals.

For example - to operate a forklift in our business, a staff member must first hold a current Forklift Licence (certification valid for 5 years) and complete a Forklift Pre-Start course (certification valid for 2 years)

We have the competency set up that when a staff member completes these 2 things, The Forklift Approval is automatically added to their Record of Learning / Competencies.

What we would like the system to do is the reverse - if the staff member expires for one of the items (Forklift Pre-Start course as an example), we would like the Forklift competency removed automatically.

I cant find a way of linking certification expiry to competency.

This is a compliance issue for us so we would like to find a solution?

Regards

Troy Scott

Hi Troy

That is right there is not way to link a certification directly with a competency.

However if you were to link the courses in the Certification to the competency through achievement path or linking the courses then when the Certification expires the course completion would reset so they could re do these .

This in theory would update the competency and the courses require to be done again - are you able to confirm this is how this actually behaves after running cron .
