Create an Activity Notification without Course Completion set up

I have a course which has a bunch of different resources and a workshop. I turned on completion tracking so I can mark the workshop as complete, but I don't want to enable course completion because (other than the workshop) the resources are designed to come back to as and when needed. Now I'm trying to set up an Activity Completion Notification to send an email once the workshop has been attended but I can't work out how to link it to the completion of the Workshop. Am I missing something? Or does course completion need to be set up for this to be an option?

Hi Jen,

Have you considered using the Seminar notifications.

Perhaps the Booking end date could meet your requirement.

Booking end date
Notifications can be triggered to send to a user, their manager, or third-party email recipients on the end date of the user's booking, or a number of days before or after the end date.

Kia ora Jen,

They should work.

Booking end date if you are using centralised notifications as Georgina has mentioned

or

add notification and set the required criteria if you are using legacy notifications

Ngā mihi,

Larry

Thanks Georgina and Larry. I moved over to the new Notifications in the course and used Booking End Date to send out a reminder and it worked as expected 🙂 Now I need to make a plan to move everything over to the new Notifications and turn off Legacy - I've been putting it off for far too long!!
