YES NO Answer leads to different target groups

Good afternoon.

Unfortunately, my HR update is missing some important information about users, which is necessary for assigning users to the correct target groups.

My idea is to ask the users themselves for this information using a survey or a suitable activity.

Example:

I ask in the form of an activity: “Have you completed a first aid course?”

If the user answers YES, I want to send them to the “First Aid Yes” target group.

If the user answers NO, I want to send them to the “First Aid NO” target group.

Can this be implemented in Totara? If so, is there a suitable tool or activity in the course for this?

I imagine I could do this with “Passed/Failed,” but it could be very cumbersome. Especially since I don't want “Passed/Failed” to appear in the users' reports....

Do you have any good ideas for me?

Greetings, Julian ✌️

Hi Julian,

You could add a custom field to a users profile page and allow them to tick a checkbox if they have completed a first aid course. You can then use this to create an audience.

Alternatively if you only need to do this for one course, you could add a page/label activity and set activity completion for when users manually mark the activity as complete. You can then restrict access to subsequent activities in the course based on weather or not users have marked the initial activity as complete.
