Totara Learn V18

We would like to use Centralized Notifications moving forward for seminars. We cannot get the placeholder for virtual meetings to work. Totara’s Seminar structure (Seminar -> Event → Sessions → Rooms), the webinar/meeting URL is stored on the Room.

  • Centralized Notifications [event:all_sessions] placeholder lists sessions and rooms but does not include the Room’s webinar URL.

  • Legacy notifications appeared to work because their placeholder resolved differently.

How has anyone gotten around this issue? Did you add custom logic to pull the room URL?

Hi Sarah

The content of the event:all_sessions placeholder in centralised notifications can be modified by editing the following language pack string: notification_placeholder_event_all_sessions_layout

Including the [session:room:link] placeholder in the session placeholder loop should add the virtual room link if the [session:rooms] doesn't provide that information
