Our users are created automatically via the HR Import.
We would like to add a new automatic purge type for all users. I can see that this can be added to all existing users via bulk scheduled actions, but then it would still need to be added to for all new users.
Is there any way to do have a purge added by default, for all new users?
If not, I am keen to hear how other organisations with automatic purges apply these to new users.

I use a manual purge type for suspended users, but am just testing an automatic purge type for deleting accounts.
I would be interested to know what you are purging for new users.

We also use a manual purge for suspended users but only for roles, e.g. if someone has trainer access on a large number of courses.
For the automatic purge, we want to remove a user's information 7 years after they have left.
To achieve this, I've set up a scheduled user action to automatically delete users after they have been suspended for seven years. I've also set up an automatic purge to purge all data when a user is deleted.
My issue is how to apply the automatic purge to new users when they are created.
I can see that you can add the deleted purge type to current users' profiles via bulk user actions (Automatic purging once user is deleted). What I want to do is apply the deleted purge type to new users automatically when they are set up, but I can't see any documentation that outlines how to do that.

I think I have found the answer, there is a setting under User data management | Settings
Default purging type for deleted users: Select a purge type that will be set and applied when a user is deleted, but has no automatic deleted purge type set already.
I will test this, but it hopefully will resolve the issue.
