Hi everyone,

As we approach the end of the year, we’ve been reflecting on what we’ve achieved together as a community this year and looking ahead to some exciting events in 2026!

This is our final update of the year, so before we go on, a huge thanks to all of you for creating this Community with us. To those who celebrate it, we hope you have a wonderful festive period and look forward to more sharing, connection and learning together next year.

Congratulations to our ‘Learners of the year’ and ‘Most helpful contributors’!

Each year we award badges to those Community members who have gone the extra mile, either in developing their own Totara skills or supporting others in doing so. A huge thanks and congratulations to all the members who have received one of those badges this week!

Year in review

Speaking of badges, did you know we’ve awarded over 2,000 badges for course completion this year? I wonder how many of those were achieved by the 1,620 new members who joined the Community this year! Want more stats? Check out our Year in review video.

Totara team update

This week, we say goodbye to a longstanding Totara team member and Community advocate, Craig Eves. Many of you will know Craig from his expert responses in our forums and workspaces. In fact, there’s probably no question about Totara he hasn’t answered since his first Community post back in 2011. Our reports show that Craig has made a whopping 5,239 posts in the Community over the years, helping countless Totara customers and Partners along the way!

We’re incredibly grateful for Craig’s significant contribution to the Community and the support he’s provided over more than a decade, and we wish him all the very best.

For those who’ve come to rely on Craig’s speedy and thoughtful responses in the forums, never fear. A number of Totara colleagues will be stepping in to answer your questions next year.

From process to impact: Rethinking performance reviews in Totara Perform

Wednesday, 28th January, 4pm (London)

Performance reviews should spark meaningful conversations, align people with purpose, and drive real growth not just tick procedural boxes. But creating review cycles that genuinely support performance takes clarity, intention, and the right tools.

In this webinar, we’ll explore how organisations are reshaping both annual and quarterly review cycles using Totara Perform, moving beyond traditional processes to create impactful, people-centred experiences.
