Impact of changing a users attempt completion status in a course

Hi

I hope someone can advise as we are still fairly new to Totara.

Following on from my post yesterday - URGENT help needed T16 Single Scorm activity not marking in progress, the SCORM activity setting change didn't update the users completion status overnight.

I can access their attempt in the course, which currently shows as incomplete, if I manually change this would this resolve the issue? Also, would this then update the certification (not certificate) for that course?

Is there any other way for the system or course to recheck the past Scorm completion data against the updated settings, and update all the users status accordingly?

Thank you in advance

Ty

Hello Matt,

Thank you for your reply. I have just met with a colleague, and we made the change for this user.

I marked the activity as complete, using the date and time they did this on.

This did then update the course completion, and its certification completion. We confirmed this on the user view.

The only thing that isn't showing correctly is the site scorm report, which still shows them as incomplete.

I know all scroms packages are made differently, so i don't know if:

This use shows as incomplete due to the previous incorrect course scorm activity settings

or

Because of scos in the scorm package, and it is only looking at raw scorm completion data.

But the report shows some people as complete.

Happy to open a ticket, i'm just mindful of using any support credit we have

Kind regards

Ty
