Hi Community!

This week we’re delighted to announce the launch of Totara version 20. Through surveys and feature requests here in the Community, it’s been great to understand how you want Totara to continue to develop. From program self-enrolment to stronger certifications and more intuitive search, we hope you’ll see your influence in this release, which focuses on boosting compliance and upskilling your workforce, while refining the learner and administrator experience. With improved certifications and insights, skills functionality to help identify and close gaps, AI plugins to drive efficiency and streamlined workflows on core features, we hope you’ll be as excited as we are about this release!

Ready to learn more about version 20?

Start upskilling in the Academy with our first version 20 courses:

  • Programs and certifications v20 - learn how to manage multi-year recertification pathways, expiry rules and reinstatement behaviours in a single certification and how to enable self-enrolment for your learners

  • Catalogue v20 - explore content discovery and search enhancements, including smarter partial word matching, enhanced wildcard search, improved recommendations and excluding courses from the catalogue

Look out for more new courses over the coming weeks, leading up to the release of our full Site Administrator programs for version 20 coming in April.

Join today’s webinar: From Process to impact: Rethinking performance reviews in Totara

Wednesday 28th January, 4pm (London)

Performance reviews should spark meaningful conversations, align people with purpose, and drive real growth, not just tick procedural boxes. Creating review cycles that genuinely support performance takes clarity, intention and the right tools.

In this webinar, we’ll explore how organisations are reshaping both annual and quarterly review cycles using Totara Perform, moving beyond traditional processes to create impactful, people-centred experiences.

Save your seat

We can’t wait to hear your thoughts on Totara version 20 – let us know in the What’s new workspace or our ongoing Product survey!

See you in the Community again soon.
